Lucan GP Cancelled!

    Just reading on Facebook that the Lucan GP Hammer fest has been cancelled/possibly rescheduled for later in the year.
    Bad news as its a brilliant race and brilliantly organised.

    Good news. If it gets rescheduled to later in the year when people are scratching around to release their frustration outside of the club spin

    Was looking forward to it as well. Ah well, will just have to wait an extra week to get my racing season going.
    Hopefully they can reschedule it for later in the year, ideally on a warm summer's saturday morning. I'd so go for that.

    And I think there will be more cancellation news soon im told..Never mind..The Dunsany GP on the same circuit on May 9th wont be long coming round and it will be on.

    Cancelled or re-scheduled?

    Re-scheduling requires re-submitting to CI for approval as well as having to re-file with the local Gardai and council at least a month ahead, so I guess they probably cannot commit until they progress a few of the formalities

    Any specific races that are in danger? I really hope it's not the Drogheda races or Stamullen. Loved the Coombes Conor last year. Missed Stamulled due to a chest bug though but really want to do that circuit as an A3.

    I'd imagine Balbriggan is perhaps the one under threat, it almost didn't go ahead last year.

    Lucan GP is only cancelled because the GAA club used as the Race HQ is now unavailable - efforts to find somewhere else suitable were not successful. Nothing to do with the circuit.
