At around 7am I saw 3 meteors , I thought they were planes at first. 2 looked as though they would collide and so I kept watching. After getting extremely close to each other, they just burned out.
    Beautiful. I'm in Athlone.

You can't mistake a meteor for aircraft. Meteors only last seconds at most and are very bright streaks of light. You most likely saw 3 aircraft with their contrails vanishing as they either climbed or decended altitude making them appear to "burn out".

I saw 3 lights in Tallaght last night about 11 pm, moving slowly enough but in formation.
