decision process interview

    Hi

    Had an interview last week. Was supposed to know this week but they say they won't know til next week now. Does this mean they are waiting for someone better ?

    Advice pls

    It can mean any number of things - a decision maker is not around to sign off, another candidate's interview was postponed, they've an offer out to someone else and they're waiting to see what the response is, the hiring manager is busy. It's pretty much out of your control at this stage either way.

    Yes I suppose it just seems like they don't want me I wish they would tell me now if that's the case

    That's not how interviews work.

    If I interviewed someone and said yes straight away, both HR and my manager would go crazy.

    There's a process they need to follow. It takes time.

    OP, you need to understand that in the vast, vast majority of companies, HR is a black hole. You could send them a query asking for confirmation of the name of the company and you'd be lucky to hear back from them the same week.
