mouse not working when this appears

    Hi

    im having a weird problem the mouse on my laptop stop working when these 2 icons appear on the taskbar, I have ran malwarebytes and removed any crappy programs from the programs and features.


    anyone seen these before???

    Did you run malwarebytes in safe mode?

    Yeah that's the Num Lock icon, nothing suspicious.

    If the mouse stops working when it appears, thats another issue. Try turning Num Lock on/off to see if the mouse response is really tied to the Num Lock state.

    Are you using the trackpad to control the mouse? Most laptops have a Fn key combo to turn off the trackpad (so you don't keep hitting it when typing). Maybe investigate whether that restores mouse control?

    sorry guys meant to reply, this was in face the Dell Numlock icons,

    but it was alot of dust / dirt on the keyboard was casuing the issues, I celaned down the keyboard and all was ok !!!
