    Hi all.
I have had a medical card for several years now but i lost it recently because when i changed address i forgot to notify the HSE.My fault 100%.

I tried to rectify the situation by contacting the relevant section in the HSE medical card department but it was too late and they told me to re-apply.No problem,my own fault and i've done that.

Got a text from them on Wednesday with a reference number,i entered it and the message generated said "If you do not receive any communication by 27/03/2015 please contact HSE".
    So 3 weeks.

Now my query is will it take this long for my card to be issued? Will it be longer or shorter?
The reason i ask is that when my card was cancelled i got a private script from the doctor and paid for it and it cost me €95 and that for me is a lot of money.I have 2 weeks store of tablets left and i'm worrying that i might have to pay again for a re supply

Do you think i could i get my card in just 2 weeks?

A quick answer would be appreciated as i would need to start saving now for the next script if the timeline is too short.
What is the general timeline from application to issue? I have provided every piece of documentation asked for and probably even more so i cant see them having any problems in that regard.

    Cordially,

    Johanna L
