    Hi,

Looking to split hdmi from sky hd box to another tv, already have 20m hdmi cable and coax in place to the second tv.
What type of splitter should i go for?
Also will the magic eye work using the coax from the rf out?

    Thanks.

    Hi Kindalan.

You can buy HDMI 2-way splitters from Ebay for about £10 to £12 they are powered by the HDMI or a USB connection.

eBay item number:201071096586 (UK ebay site)

I have a couple of these and they work well, you can daisy chain them for another TV

The one I use on my sky HD has to be plugged in to a USB for power as the Sky box HDMI will not power it, and since I changed my sky HD box the USB on the new box is not active so its on its own 5V USB power adapter.

I also use a 4 in 2 Out Matrix About £30 Means I can also send my DVD and Freesat box up the same lead.
I have 4 locations in my house where HDMI arrives (Very Sad)

    eBay item number:191238893932

Also 20M is borderline distance on a HDMI lead unless its an ''active'' lead (having an amplifier in the middle of the lead)
if you get no or intermittent picture you can try reducing the Resolution of the sky box to 720p

Magic Eye works on RF 2 Make sure its turned on in the Sky Hidden Menu.

On a Sky HD Press- Services- 701 Select
then go across to- RF out make sure- RF Outlet Supply is on and save with the Green Button.

if you press the 701 select too slow the RF bit won't Appear, so start again.
