    16.10 Southwell

Really fancy Sir Geoffry 14/1. Won this race off 1 lb higher last year. Couple of runs recently that havent been a million miles away. Luke Morris on board and drawn in 6. Opposition no great shakes. 14/1 a good 4 points more than I would have hoped for. 4 pt win.

Saffron du cotte to bolster your Cheltenham betting fund off a lowly mark and a claimer on board at 8-1
    Easy!

Drop in grade to G3, running creditably last season in grade 1s/2's to mark of 130: he's now running off 112. Henry daly generally has winners in jan, didn't start a warm jan but picked up winners at weekend which could suggest his stable are coming back to form.
Winner of race he ran 3rd in LTO has gone up 15lbs where SDC made some silly mistakes along the way and was staying on well towards the end just to miss out on second. He will enjoy conditions where some of his competition won't.
Bypassed race in Huntington on Sunday for this race. I thought Jake greenall was taking an extra 5 off but see he lost his claim. Still think he'll win convincingly

I like the look of Ballypatrick @ 10/1 in safran de cotte's race. He is on a fair enough mark if fit and ready to go after a break and has some nice bits of form most notably when 3rd behind Wyck Hill in the Eider last year with Safran de cotte six lengths back in fourth off level weights. He has to give Daly's horse a few pounds today but at the prices Ballypatrick looks a nice enough e-way bet

Not at all..strange SDC was backed in 9/2 thought he was on for a big one

There was money around for Ballypatrick too, 10's into 7's before the off

Nice each way money from Sir Geoffrey so thanks for that, favourite never going to be beaten but always glad to take them on with 14/1 shots. On Sainte Ladylime in the last e/w at 13/2.
