Ring your local social welfare office and get them to send you a replacement. Til then you will probably need a form of identification with a picture of you on it and your pps number to receive any payments til you're issued with a new one.

Think you're supposed to go to Revenue now to get a new one...

Are you sure about that? I was in the PO today. Some young fella didn't have his card, so the girls wouldn't let him draw his money. They told him to go to Revenue to get a new one...

Social Services cards are gradually being withdrawn and replaced by Public Services cards which ARE being issued by Revenue.

The new Public Services Cards are being issued by Dept of Social Protection
http://www.welfare.ie/en/Pages/Public-Services-Card_holder.aspx still by invitation and not by request. If the original poster has lost one of the older cards, then best, as suggested, to phone the Dept of Social Protection and let them know and follow whatever procedure they suggest - there used to be a replacement form to be filled out.
