Lol, he doesn't even know how to use the 3 seashells :pac:

Much thought has been given to their function since that film came out. My own view is that they're not shells as such but just a fashionable design of a series of dispensers. It's probably a bidet type arrangement. The first shells sprays water on the relevant area, the second dries it with a blast of hot air. The third one is for those difficult times (post vindaloo perhaps) & dispenses lotion of some sort.

So does everyone use the same 3 shells that were in the jacks or do they bring their own?

They were shells used for defecating.

Google it, you'll find a diagram that shows how they're used.

Forget the shells, good old fashioned forceps and powerhose gets it done.

you can use a salad fork too but make sure to wash it well after.

One thing I don't understand about Demolition Man is why Denis Leary and his rat-burger eating buddies have a pristine muscle car from the 70s in the sewers. What would they need it for down there? How did it get there? How come it's so clean when everything else is so filthy?

That picture has been doing the rounds for years, crap explanation in my opinion, would be a completely inefficient method. They have to be dispensers of some kind.

Well, now - assuming the shells are made of a strong plastic there's no reason why they couldn't be cleaned and recycled not to mention -- I'm overthinking this now, amn't I?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Overthinking pop culture memes is half the reason the internet exists, don't sweat it. While it would be possible for them to be recycled the image shows them being flushed, suggesting they're disposable.

No way. Stop or My Mom Will Shoot or Driven are much worse. He was even in a Spy Kids film for ****'s sake.

You've led an extremely privileged & sheltered existence if you think Demolition Man is the crappiest film known to man. It's no masterpiece but it's fun to watch & there's far worse out there.

Papa Bear you are fined one credit for violation of the verbal morality statute.

That picture makes no sense, even then they're only using 2, why specifically 3 sea shells?

Your repeated violations of the verbal morality statute has caused me to notify the police department, please remain where you are.

    Also applies to Bullock, Sandra.

Can't stand the woman, terrible actress...almost as bad as Julia Roberts.

However, she is perfect for her role in DM.

I actually watched this last night after reading this thread. Denis Leary was okay til he basically broke character and did one of his Bill Hicks influenced routines.

Bullock is occasionally semi-watchable. Crash & Gravity are two that spring to mind.

I'm tempted to throw it on again, seen it dozens of times already.

It's kinda amazing how Demolition Man has really become this cult classic, it was more or less panned when it first came out, but now it's infinitely quotable, you get so many references to it on After Hours. Wesley Snipes made an incredible villain, and the whole thing was just fantastic satire.

That's a very polite way of explaining that one
