chassis number wrong way round on reg cert

hi I recently bought a 1992 Mercedes E220 and went to insure it today (1992 ) with 123.ie ( actually transfer my existing policy over onto it ) and was unable to do so as the insurance company couldn't find it on their database. I recently bought a 1992 Mercedes E220 and went to insure it today (1992 ) with 123.ie ( actually transfer my existing policy over onto it ) and was unable to do so as the insurance company couldn't find it on their database.

I email them over copies of the vehicle cert and nct certs and still no joy.

from deeper digging i noticed that while the chassis number matches the cars chassis number the cert actually has the preceeding WDB letters AFTER the chassis number and its missing a digit agghhhhh.

How do i go about getting the correct details on the cert and then hopefully insurance ?

Where the details of your vehicle are incorrect, such as VIN (chassis number), seating capacity, Basis of Assessment, EU Category etc, you will need to contact the Revenue Commissioners Central Vehicle Office, Rosslare Harbour at 053 9161200.
