    Hello,

Looking for opinions on basalt fibre wall ties ! I'm building a house with a 250mm cavity and im just wondering is it worth the extra cost to use basalt fibre wall ties ? From looking at previous threads here it would appear not to be worth the extra cost ?

    thanks

First off if your considering Basalt you are looking at a Passive Certified Build are you not? The next question is that does the PHPP/modelling call for them?

I didn't need them and 375mm SS ties from Varty were sufficient....

Not Certified, but very close to that standard.

phpp modelling hasn't called for them.
