Last night my teenager and I were talking and he was saying how he gets down sometimes and finds it hard to talk about emotions with his friends as that is not what is done. It almost broke my heart. He has no major problems and is quite happy but he does worry about things and while we have a great relationship and he talks to me about most things, he wishes he could have conversations with his mates about emotions etc.

Please boys, in particular, talk to each other or find someone you can talk to.

I agree with you Witchie, boys dont tend to "do" emotions and chats but the pressure on young girls frightens the life out of me too. HUGE pressure to look well ALL of the time, weight being targeted, make-up being jeered. Lot of mean girls out there preying on others like a blood sport.
Suicide and depression help, despite what the powers that be say, are NOT much better than they were sadly.

Depression is an illness. People need to realise. A chemical imbalance. Antidepressants are a godsend. a problem shared is a problem halved folks
