The writers are such a tease. After a great opening it turns into the Doug Show. I was a little disappointed with it. Nothing jaw dropping like the S2 opener and a huge amount of set up and repetition. We get that things aren't working out for President Frank, we know Doug has substance abuse issues, so why spend an hour emphasising how bad things are.

My biggest issue is after watching Frank manipulate everyone to get his own way for two seasons, why after six months as President are things going so bad? It doesn't make sense. Did he stop pulling everyone's strings? Seems like it's just a convenient way of showing us Frank struggling again.

Overall I was disappointed, seems a little lazy, and it's struggling with a thin plot stretched out to fill out the 12 episodes.

No, it was class, we got a little glimpse into everyone and a focus on Doug. The opening scene was fantastic, as was his manipulation of the Vice President, and the scene around the committee table was brilliant, everything to do with The wife was excellent. I think you've been a little harsh, things need to be set in place so they can be manipulated later.

I thought it was very good, well done to set more on Doug and to make his recovery more believable too.

It will be a big challenge for Frank and to be honest, I would not be so interested if he was always winning like before. Can show how at times the US president is totally dependent on the opposition of the house as well.

It's a great show and hope it lives up to the past two seasons.

    Just finished the last episode.
    Marathon style :-)

Slightly underwhelmed to be honest, lacked the intensity of season 1 and the first half of season 2.

It looks stunning in HD though.

Just started watching this, I am not au fait with US political wranglings, can anyone tell me what happened in season 2 episode 3 in the senate?

I was lost on the senate thing as well.

Actualy I love the original, and I don't think this reincarnation is a patch on it.

Kevin Spacy is absolutely not my favourite actor. I think he's so overrated. When he does the personal scenes to the camera, it just does't work for me. I think they should have left that out.

Robin Write is the main character for me. She's just such a fantasy, so ruthless, and so beautiful, still, at her age.

The show is so stylistically shot. I love the look and feel of the wealth and exclusivenesses that they live in.

I'm on series 2 now. The president is so one dimensional. His acting is so wooden.

I like it though even if the plot development is a bit slow.

If I were watching this on a weekly basis I think I'd probably tune out but because I watch a few episodes at a time it's keeping my interest.

Just finished watching season 2 and as the younger ones say "meh" I'm not really enticed into watching any more. I find the plots drag, some of the script is awful. An example can anyone explain the episode around him opening the library in the Sentinal? Why, what
