Since the stepping down of our long standing front man we have been on the hunt for a new singer.

Proudfoot are an 11 piece soul/ disco/ motown/ funk band (covering my bases there!) consisting of three brass (alto + tenor sax, trumpet) drums, bass, guitar, percussion, keyboard and 2 female singers, the eleventh spot being role of frontman.

We play a variety of music such as James Brown, Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, Chic, average white band, dusty springfield and Stevie Wonder amongst others.

We are looking for a male vocalist with good range especially in the higher registers and someone who knows how to work a crowd.

The average age of the band is early 30's. We would generally practice once a week and would have a gig or two a month. Obviously with so many in the band this is nobodys full time gig but it beats golf at the weekend!

We have played the Cork jazz festival two years in a row, playing the main ballroom of the metropole in 2013. We aim to keep active as a band but are not looking to get out twice a weekend or anything.

So if you are interested or you know someone who ma be keen, post a reply and I will get back to you.

Also we would like to hear some examples of your vocals before arranging an audition so if you have anything on Soundcloud or Youtube please point us in that direction.

Finally the bands website is proudfootband .ie if you want to find out more about us.

Any questions don't hesitate to ask!

    Thanks for looking.

Hi, my name is Esteban, I'm 29 years old. I'm a singer who is currently studying and working in Dublin. I'm looking for an opportunity to show my talent and enjoy my real passion.. I like a lot Steve Wonder and the music of this kind in general so I think your band is perfect for me. I hope to get the chance in an audition and thanks for your attention. Cheers

Hi Merlin, we are based in Dublin. We do gig elsewhere though but the majority of us live in Dublin and we rehearse near city centre.
