satellite L855-149 USB not working

As the title says, the 2 usb ports on the right of my laptop arent working. Does anyone know if they are on a separate board or is it just a soldering job? TIA

Looks like the cable plugs into the port. I must open it and take a look. I wonder could it be that simple (probably not!)
