LAPTOP POWER UP ISSUE - SCREEN PROBLEM

    HI

    Any idea on this was working ok wednesday night but when i started laptop last night screen was like this i could still hear laptop starting up but screen never changed ... sorry on size of picture

    The black blob on the left looks like it might be physical damage. Did anyone step on the laptop or anything heavy placed on the lid?

    Yeah your screen has been damaged and will need to be replaced.

    I lenovo g575 model 4383 was quoted 90 -120 euro
    Today to repair it.

    Screens go for around €50 upwards, so if your anyway competent and feel like doing it yourself then you could save a fair amount of money.

    €120? €70 for labour, it takes at max 20 minutes to change out a screen, just seems quite high a quote.

    Try http://accupart.co.uk/ for a screen.

    You'll usually find a video on YouTube to see how it's replaced.
    A 20 minute job and all you need is a small screwdriver and a flat surface.

    cheers all looking at having a go myself to replace it looking at one on e-bay for 55.50 euro from tech zone Ireland anybody have any dealings with them

    Yeah I've used them a few times and have had no problems with them.
