Are sowing potatoes a waste of time is there any prospect for them next year, we're feeding them to cattle this year and thinking of pulling out altogether,

Waste of time. Between lack of consumption, imports and high input costs. I know a few big enough lads in dublin meath Louth stopping altogether this year. But there will always be one eejit that'll grow a few hundreds acers more and saturate the markets again
