Sculpting wire or best place for different varied wires?

    Hi I'm looking for any place that sells different types of wires-
    trying to source 1 in particular : black 1mm wire with notches- extremely soft and pliable on a black spool.
    Was given it with lots of others : copper, brass etc and thought would be easy to get another but not so! ( & person didn't know where they got it from)
    Tried looking online at wire specialists etc but no joy.
    Perhaps it could be more a craft wire maybe...
    If this rings any bells I'd be delighted
