Early finish anyone?

I've been having a shoulder problem, which is an issue for me.
I went to a specialist and they told me a minor procedure is required, and its booked in for a future date, end of March.
I have two weeks sick pay in my contract, and that will cover the time off which is advised for recovery.

The thing is, its really getting me down, and I feel like I need to finish up early. However I cant afford a month without pay. I will get the social welfare which is a good bit less than my pay packet, with that I can't manage the bills. working from home isn't an option, and the bossman is not at all flexible. has anyone got any advice on how to finish early, and get paid? Bossman knows I can still do the job - which I can, but wont send me home.
    cheers
