You're missing it, end of the first sentence is a link.

Is this a good price or are they available from China for cheaper? I've been meaning to pick one of these up but had thought they're available for about €160 somewhere or maybe I'm mixing up an older model

    720p on a 5.5" screen. Eugh...

I had this phone and it is actually very good and fast due to MIUI . I sold it due to screen size. 5,5' is too big for me.

$159 from a German warehouse seems a great price. Has anyone here used that site before?

Chance of getting hit with customs tho.

Is the Amazon one shipping from UK. Some sellers on Amazon ship from China

Bought one of these from this site back in October.it is running perfectly, even after a few mishaps after socialising! I had to pay customs on it as it came through Shannon.

1st review on amazon link is not very heartening

If you read the comments that have been made in reply to the review, it looks a bit better.

One of the lads on the Chinese Android Phone threads ordered one of these, but the 4G did not work here ( IIRC ) but they may have sent the wrong version of the phone.

I have this phone, it's great. I came to it from a Nexus 5 and I can honestly say I prefer the Xiaomi.
I bought mine on the official Xiaomi site - http://www.xiaomishop.com/144-xiaomi-redmi-note-4g-lte-martphone.htm

There's no problem with it working on Irish 4G bands either.

Nothing OFFICIAL about that site, it is just another reseller using the Xiaomishop name to make it appear 'more' official.

You're completely right, they aren't affiliated with Xiaomi at all, my mistake. Regardless, they're a trustworthy seller and one I'd recommend.

thats good to hear as Xiamoi and Nexus 5 were my two researched phones and I came to the conclusion that when price came into it overall Xiaomi won out. Think I'll pull the trigger on this soon and then flog my iPhone which will mean I've converted fully to Android.

I should ask though whats the big deal about 4G? Is this just a slightly faster version of 3G or am I missing something else? I rarely watch videos on my phone so not too bothered about it being slightly faster when I find it adequate at the moment. Is there something else to 4G ?

It's faster and in theory should handle video calling slightly better than 3g.

Saying that it will rape your battery more quickly

Its fulfilled by Amazon which means Amazon handle the shipping from one of their warehouses, meaning no customs hit

haha I'm still blown away by the speed of 3G so I'm not sure I could handle 4, it would be like going from Seven Minute Abs to Six Minute Abs :D

Is that the case for all networks? Isn't there something about bands, or does this support all LTE bands?

I was about to pull the trigger on this but not sure on the whole 4G thing- will these phones work on 3G networks too or does my network have to support 4G for the phone to connect to it? I'm on a emobile sim only plan at the moment

Full comp with 2G/3G bands, even can utilize 4G by looking at the specs. (Only missing 4G 800 MHz but you won't need it.)
