My school in North County Dublin are performing Singing in the Rain in a few weeks. I am just wondering if anyone would know where we could borrow or rent the following items?
    - a 1920s camera(doesn't have to work)
    - a giant cake for a person to pop out of
Keep in mind we are a school so our budget is fairly low. Thanks.

For the camera you might find something in second Abbey. A bric a brac shop on Abbey street it's around the corner from Evans.
for the cake could your new artistic students make this with cardboard, etc. ? Don't know where you'd get one.

Thanks a million, yea the plan is to start making it tomorrow. We have made a few mini ones to get an idea of materials.. It's not ideal but if there was somewhere someone knew we could get it, it would save a lot of time.

The art and woodwork students in the school should be drawn in to deal with props and set as standard for any school production. They will tend to have some very creative ideas to share. Just make sure when they build the cake that it is on castors with at least two brakes so that it doesn't roll off into the audience.

Historic interiors in Lusk are really reasonable for props and have most things
