    Op are you getting distance on ground kicks but not from hand? That's the way it reads to me, if so you need to look at where you're striking the ball. Do you throw the ball up to strike it or just drop it?

    Whenever I ha d seen lads have this problem it is usually they throw the ball up and don't catch it properly with their foot on its way back down (I always think the sweet spot is when ball is just around shin height)

    If all of the above is fine you could look at squats/weighted squats to build your legs up, I'm just coaching now but do weight squats as part of my own workout, noticed a good difference in terms of distance kicks.
