Wall grout on kitchen floor

Hope it's not a silly question, but what is the difference between wall grout and floor grout? Is it ok to use water resistant wall grout on a kitchen floor with porcelain tiles? I have cream tiles and cream grout that stains very easily. Have already had it re-grouted and it's badly stained again after a few months. I figure, the bathroom grout never stains so why can't I use that? Does it make sense or is there a reason why it's specifically "wall grout"?

This is the specific product I have in mind (apologies I am not allowed post links):

    Thanks.

I'm sure someone else will chime in with a more detailed answer but I thought that most floor grouts were cement-based and therefore more durable, resistant to cleaning and abrasion etc. As a result floor grouts are trickier to apply and clean-up, whereas wall grouts are not cement based and less tolerant of wear, abrasion etc but easier to apply. In short I don't think a wall grout will last long in a heavily trafficked floor. You can buy a sealer to seal cream or white floor grout (Golv) but light coloured grout lines will tend to fill with dirt and grime anyway (and show up more so) and this is to be expected in a busy kitchen.

There is no cream grout on the market that doesnt stain no matter what is says on the bag.beige or grey grout, preferbly grey.best brand is "bal"

Agree with BAL being the best on the market, and you pay a premium for it. I have grey BAL floor grout on my slate floor through the cottage. It does get dirty and can stain but I have always found it easy to scrub it clean. The floor is sealed with a silk finish and I just re-apply it to the joints after cleaning.

Wall grout is far too light weight for floors, soft and stains very easily.

OK thanks. Thought it was too simply to be true. So best solution is to switch to a grey grout. I suppose the wife will get used to it :-) I'll check out BAL as advised.
