Dental implants

Sorry in advance for the random thread in after hours, so please move it if there is a better place for it.

So, I'm just curious about the cost of a single dental implant in Ireland...I seem to read so many different things online and then it starts to confuse me. So, as of the past year, does anyone know the price for this? Like, for the implant and crown--and anything else needed i.e. other parts.

My situation is this: I'm currently married to a French man and live in the suburbs of Paris. I just recently had a back molar extracted because it turned out to have a huge cavity in it and caused an infection. I was completely freaked out because I have never had a cavity. My French dentist here quoted me just for the implant...about 1,500 euros. I'm too scared to even ask for the price of the crown. Not only that, I'm not too fond of dentistry here in France. There is also the issue of my French dentist not knowing any English; it's driving me bat **** crazy! I know it's France and the language is French, but France is one of the worst countries when it comes to learning another language, and almost everywhere else I go in Europe, people know English. Obviously arrogance and possibly stupidity for the lack of knowledge with the English language in France (sorry if there are any Frenchie's or French lovers on this board, but we all know it's true). It just sucks because I didn't really start learning French until a year ago, but my hubby likes to speak English all the time, so I don't get a lot of practice. My dentist spits out all of this dental terminology and I just can't keep up. Blah

    Besides all of that shat...
For dental health and obvious vanity issues, I definitely want it replaced. No one can actually see the missing tooth unless I open my mouth big enough and point at it...please no sexual jokes. :P

I have looked at dentistry abroad but I'm a little freaked out about going to other places that are cheaper. I don't want to go to England, I know it's extremely expensive over there--and to be honest, I'm not particularly fond of England. I desperately want an EMT speaking dentist though.

So, if anyone can actually inform me of prices or maybe their experiences abroad with dentistry, I would be very, VERY grateful!!

Mod: I'm closing this instead of moving it. You're asking some things that aren't allowed in the dental issues forum according to the charter here:
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2054879349
So I'd advise looking through that and then mayve PMing a mod there before you post if you're still unsure.
    Best of luck.
