Invalidity pension

I applied for invalidity pension last year and I have been refused.
I am going to appeal, but what should the specialist write in the letter I am going to send to the appeal office in order to get the invalidity?
Should he write that I have mobility issue that are unlikely to be resolved within one year?from what I understand to obtain invalidity pension I shouldn't been working for the last year and I won't be able to work for the next one?
My job position is still open, but my employer refuses to take me back to work if my condition is not improved, he will need to call the taxi and send me back home every time I sick (which is often) and I also don't want to go through that again.
From one side the welfare wants me back to to work, but from the other side my employer is not willing to do this because I am genuinely sick.
Could anyone please advise what my specialist should write to them?
    Thanks

Your specialist should write a accurate report about your condition.

Do you not need a P45/have finished work to be eligible for IP? Or perhaps if you're not working but employer is keeping your job open does that allow you to apply?

To be eligible for IP you shouldn't be able to work. My employer didn't end my contract because I am under an income protection scheme and my job position will be always open for me but this doesn't interfere with my IP application.
