Help starting job

    Hi,

I start a new job next week, which is a 3 month contract.

I've been on Jobseeker's Allowance for a number of months and was wondering what I should do.

I understand I've to sign off, but I'm worried about tax and forms of that ilk.

Is there any forms I have to fill out regarding tax etc..

Apologies if this is a silly question.

I thought a sentence from at least one person wasn't much to ask, but apparently I was wrong.

    Thank any way.

You need to ring your local welfare office and inform them of your change in circumstances ie your start date.

I'd imagine that would be the end of it.

Well, getting snotty certainly isn't going to entice people into going out of their way to help you out. You catch more flies with honey etc.

As with any new job, you should find out the employer's registration number, and phone revenue to tell them that you've started working. They will also want to know your start date, and whether you have had any other income apart from JSA this year.

Your employer should ask for your P45. Just tell them that you haven't got one, and offer to do a P46 for them.

Many thanks to both of you. Really appreciate that, it helps me out a lot!
