Why is there no proper bus station in Castlebar like they have in Ballina,Sligo, Letterkenny Galway, Somewhere to buy tickets, get hot drinks etc and mainly to get out of cold and driving rain.:mad::mad:

It's usually only the start, end or major transfers that have stations. Castlebar is none of them and as a result isn't really needed.

There is an Apache branch near the bus stop, with some other places further down the street

Westport is a end of transport line and doesn't have one either.
