    Can anyone help as regards the decs for the last race on the Tuesday A Handicap Chase ,there are currently 65 Entries , I want to back a horse Ante Post ( not a tip but know the owners) , what are the chances of him getting in ? what is the criteria involved ? the animal is lying in the bottom half of the entries .

    Weights are out tomorrow for the irish,guessing game at the minute unless he's English and has a mark. Most races 135 should get you in. You can Pm me the horse if you want if you're not sure how to check ratings.

    Last year the top weight was rated 140 and the handicap was compressed into 9lbs, top weight had 11-10, bottom weight carried 11-1.

    Pretty similar in 2013 & 2012 also.

    So if your mates horse is rated about mid 120's or lower it's looking unlikely the horse will get a run.

    Wait til the bookies go NRNB before you back it so money back if it doesn't run

    Wait til bookies are going non runner no bet on all races.Just the 4 championship races at the moment.

    Boyles may be NRNB on a lot of races now but not sure. Have a look on oddschecker!

    have done my research on Oddschecker , only Bet365 are NR no bet on this race , thks anyway.

    You can back it now and if its balloted out (too low in the handicap) you get your stake back.

    This is on the proviso that connections keep it entered until the final declarations. Pretty sure they get their entry fees back so they will keep him entered even if he's too low to get in.
