Changing the tape on my bike and just looking for feedback on lizard skin tape, is it really the mutts nuts or are there better tapes out there? I like the grip quality of it but just wondering is there any other tape with similar qualities that you good folk would recommend

zipp service course cx tape: cheaper and i really rate it.. have it on my good bike. not a lot of padding but very grippy, durable and looks sweet too.

if you want to buy locally (if you're in dublin) Harry's bikes stock it.

No, not worth the money, though the bar end plugs look very nice.

Are they worth the money? i am not sure, but i do like them.

I have carbon handlebars that were wrapped in Fizik tape. I replaced the Fizik with Lizard skins and the difference in comfort for me was noticeable.
I put the 2.5mm ones on and they are holding up well, i like the grip and haven’t had any grip issues.
Haven’t tried any other tape so nothing else i can compare too.

They feel nice and grippy with good cushioning. I've had a good few other bar tapes on the bikes and the lizards are the nicest ones I've tried so far. They are expensive though.

Have 3 different road bikes with 3 different tapes. The Lizard Skin feels the nicest I have to say. It's well worth it. Put it this way: you'll probably spend a fortune on tyres and tubes and cables and upgrading components over the years. In this context, paying a little bit extra for the one surface that you are in regular contact with (apart from the saddle) is possibly worth it.

I like it - a bit of padding to reduce road buzz but not too bulky, seems to be hardwearing and its nice and grippy in the wet.

Its cheaper from (the more local) SwimCycleRun.com than it is from ChainReactionCycles and Wiggle

I also have the Zipp CX tape on both my bikes. I really rate it, very confortable and grippy and looks so good. I love it so much I bought two more of them just in case it suddenly went off the market and couldnt be got :rolls eyes:
