PLEASE WAIT Screen appearing on start up

    Strange one this,

    When I start my laptop it starts as normal and a please wait screen appears as it is booting up. Then my screen saver appears (which usually has an option to enter my password but doesn't in this case) and when I press any button it just goes back to the PLEASE WAIT screen. This problem repeats 3/4 times until the enter password prompt does in fact appear and then I enter my password and all is fine. This only started happening yesterday. The laptop is only 6 months old. Any ideas?
