Banks deem cheques (including bank drafts) to be "stale" after 6 months and will not accept them.

You can ask UB to renew it, which they will almost certainly do.

It's no big deal to ask UB to renew it, other than the inconvenience of making contact with the branch on which it is drawn. If the branch is not local to you, you might lose a few days.

As stated by PB is spot on. If you a UB customer they should just lodge it up for you after they conduct a few enquiries their end.

Bank drafts don't expire. Unlike personal cheques they do not have the 6 month restriction. Just lodge it to your account and all will be fine.
