Yes its ok to do, but I'd rather drill the wall than drill the window frame. Is there a wall vent in the room where you can pass the cable through?

Drill a hole through the wall, drill out at a downwards angle, use an appropiate cable entry cover and install correctly. Drilling holes in the windows should be left back in the 1980s.

Vent is around on the gable end in the middle of the wall so tryin keep cable on back wall if possible, thanks!

The handy way is not always the best way, if you do decide to drill through the window drill out at a steep downwards angle.
