    Hello all,

Im in need of some help completing the Assessable spouse election form.

Firstly, I want to claim my partners tax credits. She does not work at the moment.

    1. Estimated income for current tax year? Do I leave spouse blank or must I tot up social welfare payments.

    2. We got married at the end of 2014 so do I use this as the first tax year or do I enter 2015?

The next section is an option of 4

    3. Tax credits & standard tax rate ( assessable spouse & spouse ) what details are they looking for in this section?

or do I just tick the 4th option which is '' I wish to have transferable tax credits & standard rate band allocated to the assessable spouse''

On a side note the revenue site mentions that this can be all done on PAYE anytime but I have searched all over and cannot find this section.
