Purchasing uPVC frames/glass from trade supplier

I noticed an ad with a company who supplies Rehau frames to the trade (which I'm not). They also stated they welcome domestic enquiries.

So I contacted them and supplied them with the measurements and they have provided me a quote for the frames, glass and delivery. It's a very good price.

They said they can recommend a fitter, though this is someone independent, as they don't fit windows themselves.

I'm wondering what are the pitfalls of doing this though? I suppose the measurements could be wrong, for example.

    Anyone here done this? Thanks

    Its common enough.
The person fitting the windows will usually do the measurements though.
Only other pitfall is youve an extra party involved and it complicates things when something gooes wrong - e.g. you could get into a situation where there's a dispute as to whether the product is faulty or it was installed incorrectly.
If it was me and i was saving a few euro id have no probs taking same path.
