Annoying Message from Yosemite

Even since I installed Yosemite I have been getting a message saying that the batteries on my keyboard are low and need to be replaced.

Bear in mind that this is going one for over a month now and the keyboard is still working fine so obviously the batteries were/are grand.

Does anyone know how to switch off this message or has apple just bought Duracell and they are trying to get us to throw out working batteries and replace them :)

Click on the Bluetooth icon beside the clock and click the keyboard, you should see the battery charge level. The warnings start at 20% remaining so you could get another few weeks after the warning depending on how much you use the device.
