Just wondering if any one has been to one of these as I'm going on saturday?

Also can you walk from the herbert hotel which is beside the RDS to donnybrook?
And wat are the best pubs to visit in and around donnybrook?

    Anyone else got tickets?

Yeah it's only a 10 min walk or so from that hotel up to Donnybrook.

To be honest there's loads of pubs in the Ballsbridge/Donnybrook area. If you pick up a stone and throw it you'll find a pub.

The Herbert Hotel is about a 5 min walk along the river to Donnybrook. Its basically on the other side of Herbert Park. Kiely's in Donnybrook is a fairly (in)famous rugby pub.

You might struggle to see the United game on TV in that area. It's basically on at the same time as Scotland v Italy.

    Looking at the teamsheet there
Simon Best, Shane Byrne, Trevor Brennan, David Corkery, Leo Cullen, Jan Cunningham, Kieran Dawson, Mick Galwey, Gary Halpin, Marcus Horan, Paddy Johns, John Kelly, Simon Mason, Stan McDowell, Nick Popplewell, Frankie Sheahan, Jeremy Staunton, Liam Toland, James Topping, Paddy Wallace.

Paddy Johns must be pushing 60 now. He was playing when I was tiny.

Wallace and Staunton finally getting some gametime ahead of ROG :D

I wouldn't say that to his face... he's only 47!

Now that you mention ROG, if he played in this you would pack the place! I'd say the legends side could do with some above international standard game management. :D

Maybe in future years he'll lace up the boots.

Jesus, wouldn't have put him as that young.

I'm not going to bother wikipedia-ing the ages, but I imagine he must be a fair bit older than the rest of the guys considering I've seen most of them play when I was a teenager/adult

Popplewell and Galwey would be in or around the same age as him I'd have thought

No idea how old Popplewell is tbh.

I've seen Gallimh play live, pretty sure Paddy Johns retired long before I was going to matches.

I don't know tbh, could be miles off here

My last memory of him was getting carded in the BOD game in Paris so if you've seen Galwey then chances are you've seen Johns.
