    Hi,
Just wondering if u pass ur driving test in Ireland do u straight away display N plates or do u still use the L plates until u recieve the actual full licence in your hand.

Ps. I know ur not classed as fully qualified until u recieve the licence in ur hand, I just wondering in regards to d plates.
    Thanks in advance :)

Wait until you have the license in your hand. And then pop up the N plate.

    Congrats on passing!

Officially, you have to receive your full driving Licence.

    But this is Ireland.

I was driving around with my N plates up with my receipt from the NDLS center as the lady told me it was fine to drive with - however it seems that's topic for debate. If you do get pulled and you don't have your full license you will be asked to produce it within 7 days at a Garda station, so you can wait to receive it in the post then show it.

Just don't drive around with your Certificate of Competency - make sure you've traded that in at the NDLS center first.
