Buying a tractor in uk

Hi what's the story if I buy a tractor in uk can I claim vat back or is there a import tax in to ireland thank for any help

If you have a VAT number of your own, you will not be charged vat.i think it's €200 to import any commercial. Be it a 1500 euro tractor, or a 200,000 euro Challenger.

if the tractor is less than 10 years old you need the tax book. if not a letter from a main dealer will work

Yeah tractor is over 10 years old it's a same explorer 90 I was thinking on buying any info on these tractors what's good and what's bad

Ah, the 4 wheel disk braking and 4 wheel drive was a fierce advantage on the hilly land we have. Also,we're too mean to buy anti-freeze.

Spud men in Meath liked them once upon a time, as well. Lots of gears in the speed range that suited them, and long wheelbase coupled with big wheels led to good traction when things got sticky.
