A high failure rate in pre exams has me reflecting ( yes including on the teacher)
Quite a lot is related to students general lack of effort but mainly want to change the mindset..

Thoughts on post failure strategy ?

    Hi .
once upon a time the teacher would have said they were "a lazy shower " or " waht do you expect from kids like these "!

the whole mindset this is huge. It can develop overt time as part of the home ethos , it can be part of school culture. I think some students have never really been taught to study , they've been expected to remember accurately which is not the same thing. In some schools the role of the teacher is so central that when it gets to exam time in senior year they feel like they re lost.some then beat the " my teacher is useless i need grinds " drum. It can help if they know that their teacher is only one resource . Their mates , relatives who did the exam previously , other people who like the subject, the net , radio , tv can all have an input.

This woman is a bit of an authority on mindset , lots of ted talks etc . worth a look i think

    good luck with it all.
