How would you accessorise this dress?

    Hi everyone,

I recently bought this dress on asos for a wedding coming up this year:

It's a beautiful dress and I love it on. Just need to get the top of it taken in a bit and the straps adjusted slightly and it'll be a perfect fit.

I'm just not entirely sure how to accessorise it. Obviously, I won't need much in the way of jewellery as it is very blingy but does anyone have any suggestions as to shoes and bags, maybe a style of earrings? Any ideas regarding make-up would be cool too, love hearing other's perspectives. :)

    Thanks!

Lovely dress. I saw a girl wearing it at a recent wedding with silver sandals just like the ones in the photo, an embellished silver clutch, and long chandelier type silver beaded earrings. The earrings were too much - a pair of large studs or even a silver cuff would've looked better IMO. The bag looked great though, added a bit of interest below waist level.

I think what dee_mc has suggested would be good. You don't need much 'on top' as there's already quite a lot going on, but an embellished clutch and the silver sandals would be lovely. If wearing your hair up, which I think really suits this dress, you could always put a smallish blingy clip or 2 in it to 'dress' it up. I'd wear a nice pair of pearl earrings as I always think they look classy yet understated and yet are 'bright' enough to add some life to the dress.

I think make up will be down to what suits you and what you feel comfortable in. Again, I wouldn't go for too much, but something to compliment and bring out your eyes and maybe a darker lipstick. Personally, I'd go with brown around my eyes (I've got blue eyes, so it works), and maybe a shiny nude lipstick/lip gloss. I'm sure others with more experience with make up could suggest something else that might work.

    Beautiful dress!

I would go with gold or silver sandals and clutch, simple earrings like a plain stud or diamond (cz) and maybe a couple of very plain, simple gold or silver bracelets.

Makeup wise I'd go for a simple smokey eye, something a little muted so matte colours with maybe just a little shimmer on the lids so it's not TOO bland but doesn't distract from the dress (if you're familiar with MAC, their Frost or Veluxe Pearl finish eyeshadows could work. They have just a hint of shimmer.) For lips I'd do a burgundy or deep red lipstick in a satin type finish, not too matte and not too glossy.
