Looking to buy a laptop with 16Gb of RAM and 256GB SSD.

Price range between 900 and 1400.

Don't mind if it has 8GB of RAM once it can be upgraded to 16 in future!! And also want the laptop to be lightweight!

Will be using the laptop for coding and editing so will need a good cpu. 13" to 15"!

So far the dell inspiron 15" 7000 is the only thing that comes close and pretty cheap but it's a bit heavy.

    Any recommendations?

Remember some (most?) high-end ultrabooks have fixed RAM (not upgradeable) and typically come with 8Gb.

8Gb is usually ample for normal usage especially if combined with SSD. If you're gaming then consider dedicated graphics card options (again ultrabooks typically don't come with these).

I've heard mixed reviews on these custom built laptops regarding build quality. Have you ever bought a laptop from them?

I was going to, until I found a great offer on an Asus ROG G750JH for 1300 euro. Not too portable, although not too bad.
