Anybody know is it possible to remap a 1.6tdo Audi a3?

Also does anybody know of any good places to do this and any idea of what results could be had?

Yes it is possible to remap the VAG 1.6 TDi engine. You should be able to get about an extra 30bhp or so and also a good increase in torque.

Who does it will depend on what part of the country you are in. Just avoid going to the likes who turn up in a car park with a laptop and cable. Stick to those who actually know how to tune/map rather than just those who fiddle around with parameters. The likes of Joe in Chipped Ireland or Martin in Autoremap are well regarded.

30bhp would be a very big improvement

Do you know of anybody in the west who does remapping well?

I'm afraid not. I'm in Limerick and travelled to Joe Power in Dublin to get mine done.
