tractor sump leaking oil

    would it be safe to weld i dont want to make it worse, the tractor in question is a ferguson model 20. its not leaking around the plug but on the bottom.

    Is it cast iron or aluminium? Needs to be done by someone who knows what they're at.

    If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

    quicksteel epoxy putty, drain, clean really well with solvent, roughen up a bit with a file then apply putty.

    I am not 100% sure but i think it might be cast which is why i dont want to touch it. who can even do cast iron welds nowdays
