    Hi guys,

I got engaged earlier this month and had the ring resized but it's still a bit too tight (thinking around half a size) so I'm going to have to bring it to a jewellers to get it resized again... Can anyone recommend a jewellers in Galway that will do it for me? The last time it was gone away for two weeks so I'd prefer a quicker service if possible.

    Thanks for any help!

Just a reminder that if users want to post a review of a supplier, they need to have either been an active member of Boards.ie for longer than two months, or have a post count of 20 or above.

hmm... There's a handful of jewellers in Galway, but some will only modify items they sell.
I do think Hartman's on Shop St does fixes and the like, as I had earrings fixed by them before, so I'm sure they can resizing. Cobweb's by the Spanish Arch also have a good jeweller, but not sure if it's for general use. There's also a jeweller's on Cross St (kinda opposite Tigh Neachtain's) that does bespoke designs I think, so should imagine they can do resizing.

I can't recommend a place because I'm not from Galway, but try to go to a shop that actually has a jeweller on site so that the ring doesn't need to be sent away. My ring only took 30min to be resized because they had an in-house jeweller.
