Hi all, just wondering if anybody knows whether the current model Volvo S60 is due to be changed any time soon? I'm considering getting one as there is an offer of free leather Sears and style pack but would be put off if a new model was due to be introduced.
    Any advice would be appreciated
    Thank you

Given that it was launched in 2010, I'd say you've at least another two years before the next one. There's plenty of other models that should be on the chopping block first. Having said that, Volvo's new owners are being incredibly aggressive with their plans for future models. They've promised that the new XC90 will be the oldest car on their books in four years time.

Volvo traditionally are slow to replace their models. The S40 was around 8 years before it was replaced. The S80 is currently 8 years old and a new model is still at least 12 months away. The XC90 has been around nearly 13 years and only being replaced this year.

The current S60 has been around since 2010 and only got a facelift in early 2014 so I'd say you are safe for a few years yet. D3 or D4 are the ones to aim for.

MY16 spec is due for release in May. Can't imagine it's going to be too different. S60 got a facelift late 13 / early 14 (I think it was then) and there's not even rumours of a change yet.

There are rumours that the PSA 1.6 in the D2 will be replaced by a very de-tuned version of the D4 (at 120ps) and the D3 will be re-introduced with 150ps (also detuned D4 engine). These changes are likely to go in to MY16 production.

Leather & styling pack come out of dealer margin, so they aren't really "free". Additional discount would be available instead, or the extras thrown in as part of the deal anyway. Leather is only about €700 on an SE anyway and I think they styling pack is roughly the same.
