    Hi,

yesterday I found out that my office is closing in a few weeks and I'll be offered a new contract to work from home. Is there anything my company (headquartered in the US with a small subsidiary in Ireland) HAS to provide me with? My job just requires me to have a PC and broadband (for VPN access), no phone or anything else.

I know that Apple provides iMacs and iPods for their AHA program and also reimburses the broadband and phone line costs. Is this just to make it easier for people that get placed into AHA or is this an actual requirement. I couldn't really find anything on citizeninformation about this.

I doubt there would be anything from a statutory perspective. Just what is agreed between the employer and the employee

This is a bit vague, but might be worth a read http://www.hsa.ie/eng/Topics/Hazards/Lone_Workers/

It won't cover any gadgets you might want, more stuff around (I'd imagine) proper desk, seat and all that stuff.
