never thought i'd have to post in a forum like this, but my husband is going nuts trying to figure out what is wrong with our washing machine. as i am the one responsible for washing the clothes, i thought i best try to help out somehow :p:o

we have a bosch 8kg front loader machine which is coming up to 5 years old. i know that it's a bit of a princess when it comes to balancing loads. it doesn't like light loads (even though on the short 15 min cycle it tells you that it HAS to be a small load) and will often have issues spinning if you were to wash a heavy jumper in ANY size load.

anyway, the other day the washer decided that it just didn't want to spin on the spin cycle. it will spin slowly of course, but not at any of the rpm's listed on the front screen…..

i tried different sized loads, with different rpm settings. no use.
it WILL spin at any rpm with nothing inside the washing machine.. but if you were to even put a sock in it, it will not spin. or big massive load….no spin.

my husband took the motor out to discover that it's a brushless type (after he'd already gone ahead and ordered new brushes, unfortunately)

so this has us scratching our heads. i don't like the idea of having to call out a pricey repair man, or get a new washer (as this one cost us a small fortune)
so i was hoping that maybe someone here would have some ideas?
google is only helpful for motors with brushes…

any ideas would be gratefully appreciated!

Could be the motor controller, I had a similar thing happen a few years ago. Best get someone to look at it.

on further inspection, it looks like one of the shocks are bust...perhaps...
    any recommendations on repairmen?

if you think one of the shocks are shot replace it as the module is more than likely picking up on the o/o/b (out of balance) preventing it from spinning
