No, but Killaloe Diocese would have a strong tradition of going to Taize - if I remember correctly, Fr. Jerry Carey used to be in charge. he's based in Ennis and might be able to point you in the right direction.

Alternatively, have a Taize prayer meeting every week between now and Easter and you'll be well ready for a Parish Mass!

Taize Ireland have a FB page so you could try there. I doubt you could rent them but I'm sure many would be willing to travel to Limerick - if there isn't one already.

Sorry mate, forgot to answer. As already said, it's the repetitive singing of a hymn or Christian song (often in Latin) in a group. The words have meaning but act as a bone for the mind to 'chew on' so the heart and body can rest in God.
Taize is located in France - near Clermont - and is open to all Christians and those with no faith. The founder, Brother Roger, was stabbed to death at one of the prayer meetings a few years ago. I've never been there but everyone I've met who was there, loved it.
If you've been to the Youth festival in Medj. you would have heard and sang some of the songs from Taize.

Could you not just organise your own group? Lent is a perfect time for it, and it might encourage people to become involved in the church that weren't before. There's nothing technical in it, the chants are simple and anyone can sing them.

In our church the curate organised a series of Taizé evenings during Lent a few years ago and they went down very well

Just seen this thread, was in Taize about 30 years ago , one of the most moving and spiritual experiences of my life ! Totally enjoyed the simplicity and sense of community about the place. Just noticed a poster in the Augustinian Church in Galway publicising a Taize Mass in the church on the second Sunday of each month at 6.30pm - perhaps the Augustinians there could give you a contact for the organisers, who would be able to help with your question.
