do a factory reset, seems to fix most issues with Lollipop upgrade. What N7 is it? 1st Gen or 2nd?

I guess first gen. Plenty of a stuff around about how bad it is, it's an awful upgrade and best solution appears to be going back to KitKat.

My dad has had no issues with his (1st gen) but i upgraded it manually as i did with my Nexus 5 and wiped the cache, seems going by XDA people seem to get better results like this.

No issues with either of ours after factory reset, mind you I always factory reset twice after any Android OS upgrade...

Been doing it since 2.3, still doing it.... :)

The original Lollipop upgrade made our 1st Gen's virtually unusable. 5.0.2 has improved it back to at least Kit Kat, but tbh the performance was beginning to go. I might try a factory reset yet on it. After what it did to mine, I didn't bother installing it on the kids ones.

Where did the factory reset bring you, it remained on lollipop?

Yes, it remains on lollipop but it clears the cache of the leftover of any previous install...

Most of your stuff remains backed up when you sign in again if you set your accounts to back up and auto sync, you could do it before you reset it either....

Yeah, I understand all your apps get reinstalled once you log back in, I done it more times than I care to remember at this stage over various devices.

I'll give that a try, if no improvement then it's getting rooted and rolled back to KitKat.

My 2013 version is now dead after updating to lollipop. It stopped charging altogether. I've googled it and it seems to be a common issue with them(no fix either). My warranty is out by a couple of months. Do I have any rights as the upgrade messed it up??

    Sorry for hijacking thread :D

Shouldn't need to root it to downgrade, just flash with the last KK image before lollipop....
