    Anyone ever fly to Malaysia?

I am wondering what is the best way to go.

    Dub - Europe - Malaysia (1 x 2hr & 1 x 12hr flights)
    or
    Dub - Dubai - Malaysia (2 x 7 hour flights)

    Any help would be appreciated.

This. There is good chance of 6+ hours sleep here.
Malaysia is a good spot, although with the decline of Euro no longer incredibly cheap.

It depends on you really. I prefer two shorter flights as I never sleep for more that 3 or 4 hours. Some of my friends can sleep for 8 hours so they prefer the long flight.

At the end of the day it'll come down to price probably. Malaysian airlines have been very competitive lately after their recent "troubles". Etihad and Emirates are also good value generally since they both started two flights a day out of Dublin. Turkish are probably your other value option and the breakdown is 4 hours + about 9 hours which I like.

All those airlines are fine to fly with.

I'm guessing Malaysia airlines through Heathrow is one of your options here. Not only is this usually very competitively priced but Malaysia Airlines Airbus A380 (That they use on the Heathrow- Kuala Lumpur route) has the best economy class I've every encountered, far better that than the sardine can economy class on Emirates Boring 777 that they use out of Dublin and would likely have on the Dubai-Kuala Lumpur sector.

Emirates fly a mixture of Airbus and 777s on the Dubai-KL route. Malaysia also fly a mixture of Airbus and 777s from Heathrow.

Agreed on the Emirates sardine can out of Dublin.

They only use the A380 on the Heathrow KL route (Twice daily). They also use it on the 1 x daily to Paris CDG. They use their 777 (Which is 9 abreast in economy rather than Emirates & Etihads 10 abreast) on the Amsterdam and Frankfurt services
